The Islamist Insurgency in Macabhria is an ongoing conflict in the North African nation of Macabhria. The conflict was instigated by a coalition of Islamist groups named the Altahaluf Almuslim Alsaalih lil'Iislam Walaistiqlal, who's common goal is to seek the restoration of Islam and ethnic rule among Arabs, Berbers, and Tuaregs against the Macabhrian royal government. Eventually, ISIL established a presence within Eastern Macabhria, with the intention to constitute an ISIL territory along North Africa's western coastline for logistical purposes.
