The Bronx Showdown, also known as The Great Monstrous Purge, or clearly known to most Americans on the East coast as The Bronx Incident, was a monster fight, between Rivera & Israel, on April 3rd, 2023. The battle would later reveal to the U.S. government, that Rivera for the last 67 years had been residing right in the Hudson River, and the massive abandoning of Manhattan Island.
The Incident[]
10 years before the Events of Godzilla Team Rivera & Israel, and about 13 years before New Godzilla Team: The Seven Seals. A large major battle was drawn out in the streets of the Bronx, on the 3rd, of April in 2023. Rivera and Israel began to challenge one another, on which monster has more power, only to result in both ending up in a draw.

Aftermath[]
Despite the draw, the brawl between the 2 Monster, would later force New York City to be abandoned a day after, revealing that Rivera has been residing in the Hudson River, for the bast 67 years. After becoming a Ghost Town, No one but Rivera, was left to reside on the Island.

- The Bronx Showdown, was first uploaded by Meowjar in 2008, but the video was not long enough to be considered a showdown, due to an unknown error, the old show down however took place 14 years prior to the New one, in 2037, but the Idea was moved instead down too 2023...
- The reason on why Manhattan was abandoned, after the Showdown is unknown, for the city suffered many attacks from monsters, and had become a major battleground...
- The Bronx Showdown, would be lived yet again in Equestria in 2037, when Rivera & Israel began to battle one another for control of the Crystal Empire, only difference is that Godzilla is no longer there...
- Though the battle was a draw, it is possible that Rivera might have been the Victor...
- The attack was known to be unexpected, which make the situation, on how Rivera & Israel entered the Bronx without warning...
- Godzilla is known to be there at the time of the showdown, but was never shown. It is possible that he was on the Mainland, or watching from the city...
